🛡️ Purpose of This Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets the rules for responsible use of Profile Sentinel AI. It applies to the web application, profile-scanning functions, evidence imports, AI analysis, AI assistant features and related services.

The purpose of the Service is to support lawful, proportionate and evidence-led assessment of online profile risk. It is not a tool for stalking, harassment, unlawful surveillance, retaliation, discrimination or public accusation.

This AUP forms part of the Terms of Use & AI Disclaimer.

⚖️ Use the Service Lawfully

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to your conduct, including privacy, data protection, confidentiality, intellectual property, computer misuse, harassment, discrimination and communications laws.

You must have a legitimate and lawful reason for processing personal information relating to another person. Access to publicly visible information does not automatically give you an unrestricted right to collect, republish, combine, profile or exploit that information.

🔒 Respect Privacy and Personal Data

You must not use Profile Sentinel AI to:

  • collect or process personal data unlawfully;
  • upload private messages, confidential records or sensitive information you have no right to submit;
  • doxx a person or publish their home address, private contact details, precise location or other sensitive identifiers without a lawful basis;
  • build intrusive dossiers about individuals for purposes unrelated to legitimate safety, security or verification needs;
  • circumvent privacy settings to obtain information that is not lawfully available to you.

🚫 No Harassment, Stalking or Intimidation

You must not use the Service to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, shame, blackmail, coerce or repeatedly monitor another person in a manner that is unlawful or creates a foreseeable risk of harm.

You must not use analysis results to organise targeted harassment, mobbing, pile-ons, revenge campaigns or unwanted persistent contact.

🔐 No Hacking or Bypassing Access Controls

You must not use the Service, directly or indirectly, to:

  • obtain passwords, authentication cookies, session tokens, access keys or credentials;
  • bypass login requirements, privacy controls, rate limits, CAPTCHAs or technical restrictions without authorisation;
  • exploit vulnerabilities or attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
  • intercept private communications or deploy malware, spyware or credential-harvesting techniques.

🎭 No Fraudulent or Deceptive Use

You must not use Profile Sentinel AI to facilitate fraud, impersonation, identity theft, phishing, romance scams, financial scams, extortion or deceptive social engineering.

You must not fabricate or manipulate evidence in order to cause the Service to falsely label or portray another person as suspicious.

🧭 No Unlawful Discriminatory Profiling

You must not use the Service to make unlawful discriminatory decisions or to target, exclude or disadvantage people based on protected characteristics or other highly sensitive personal attributes.

Risk assessments must not be treated as a proxy for race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, age or other legally protected characteristics.

⚠️ Restrictions on High-Stakes Decisions

You must not use Profile Sentinel AI as the sole decision-maker for matters that could have legal or similarly significant effects on a person, including:

  • employment, recruitment or dismissal;
  • credit, lending, insurance or financial eligibility;
  • housing or tenancy decisions;
  • education admissions or disciplinary decisions;
  • healthcare or access to essential services;
  • immigration, policing, criminal guilt or formal legal determinations.

Where automated analysis informs a significant decision, you are responsible for implementing appropriate human review, verification, explanation and safeguards required by applicable law.

🧒 Protection of Children and Vulnerable People

You must exercise heightened care when information concerns children or vulnerable people. Do not use the Service to groom, exploit, track, identify or target children for harmful purposes.

Do not submit children's personal information unless you have a lawful and appropriate basis to do so and the processing is necessary and proportionate.

📵 Prohibited Inputs and Content

You must not knowingly submit content that:

  • is unlawfully obtained or disclosed;
  • contains stolen credentials, malware or malicious code;
  • constitutes unlawful intimate imagery or sexual exploitation material;
  • contains content whose possession or distribution is illegal;
  • is intentionally falsified for the purpose of framing, defaming or harming another person.
🚨 If you encounter material that may involve immediate danger, child sexual exploitation, serious criminal activity or an emergency, do not rely on Profile Sentinel AI as an emergency reporting channel. Contact the appropriate competent authority or emergency service.

🧪 No Attacks on the Service

You must not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorisation; interfere with normal operation; overload infrastructure; introduce malicious code; exploit defects; or attempt to access administrative functions without permission.

Good-faith security research should be conducted only with explicit authorisation and within any published vulnerability-disclosure or testing rules.

🤖 No Abusive Automation or Bulk Profiling

You must not use bots, scripts or automated systems to scrape, enumerate or profile people at a scale or in a manner that is unlawful, abusive, disproportionate or contrary to platform rules that lawfully bind you.

You must not use the Service to create mass watchlists, harassment databases or bulk reputational scoring systems about individuals without an appropriate lawful basis and safeguards.

📣 Do Not Treat AI Output as Proof

You must not present a Profile Sentinel AI risk score or AI-generated statement as verified proof that a named person is a scammer, criminal, fraudster, catfish or otherwise dishonest.

Before making an allegation about a person, consider the reliability of the evidence, obtain independent verification and comply with applicable defamation, privacy and harassment laws.

⚠️ The Service identifies potential signals and uncertainty. It does not adjudicate guilt, prove identity or provide a legal finding.

🚨 Enforcement and Protective Action

We may investigate suspected violations and may restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe a user has materially breached this AUP, created a security risk, engaged in unlawful conduct or exposed another person to a serious risk of harm.

Where legally permitted and appropriate, we may preserve relevant security information, respond to lawful requests from competent authorities or take other steps reasonably necessary to protect the Service and its users.

Enforcement decisions may consider severity, intent, repetition, actual or potential harm, attempts to evade safeguards and whether the user cooperates with remediation.

📬 Reporting Abuse

To report suspected abuse of Profile Sentinel AI, contact [email protected]. Include enough information for us to understand the issue, but do not send unnecessary sensitive personal data.

For urgent threats to life or safety, contact the appropriate emergency service or competent authority rather than relying on email support.
